Do you have metabolic syndrome?

Metabolic syndrome is very common in overweight people and can have some serious consequences if ignored such as increasing the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

If you are overweight keep a close eye on any symptoms which could give you doubt of having metabolic syndrome. These include insulin resistance, high blood pressure, excessive weight, high cholesterol and increased levels of uric acids. If you have any doubt you may be suffering with metabolic syndrome consult a doctor to discuss the actions to be taken.

There are ways to prevent this from developing, one being doing regular cardio exercises which can be implemented into your daily lifestyle by doing more walking, swimming, biking or jogging. Even if its just walking to the shops instead of driving or parking furthest away from your destination so you walk that bit more making you not only help prevent metabolic syndrome but will burn off excess fats.

Another way to help prevent it would be to lower your daily calorie intake, eat healthier and avoid those fatty junk foods as they will make you gain weight which is the total opposite in this situation.

Research has proven that people who take part in the regular cardio activities reduced their chance of developing metabolic syndrome by 26% for men and 20% for women where as people who are very fit and do a lot of physical exercise reduced the chance of getting it by 50% for men and a shocking 63% for women!

That shows by doing simple exercises each and every day will help you not only prevent the metabolic syndrome but will also get you into shape and help you loose weight.

This is just a selection of methods which can be used to loose weight, there are plenty out there you just need to motivation to keep them up which can be a difficult task.
