Does morning exercise effectively burn calories?
This question has always raised for a long time, and yet the accurate answer has not beed decided yet. The reason is that each side has its own scientific and experience element to support their argument. But after reviewing several references, I have concluded my own opinion, bases on those information.
Well, basically it is proven that doing moderate exercise for at least 30 minutes in the morning, usually after you wake up, before taking any meals or breakfast, will burn more calories than if it is done on later time. The simple reason is that, when you eat at the night, and you sleep, the body will consume energy taken from glucose. You may probably want to check simple digestion process in previous post to retrieve information about glucose. The unused glucose is stored in your muscles and heart as glycogen.
So during your sleep, the glucose content in your body is somewhat depleted and used up by our body. When we wake up, the glucose is minimal. If we do exercise say around 20-30 minutes it will use the glocose remained in our body. When the glucose is almost used up all, then glycogen stored in the muscles will be transformed to glucose and converted to energy. However, as the glycogen is very less as well, in this case your body will use fat as enery source. As less glycogen is available, the body will metabolize body fat.
Another reason is after you exercise, your metabolism rate will increase. In some statement will positively affect your mood and creativity. In other words, it will “energize” you and give you more “spirit”.
However, despite of these facts and even supported by several published scientific research, there is still much point which is very debatable about the performance of weight loss in long term. Does it really affect the overall result of loosing weight for longer period of time, will it be effective? These answers are very much still under controversy. However, you might not to miss this article to get more issue about this matter.
