Fats and oils

Most of you I believe already know that part of way to reduce weight is by well choosing food or ingredients and picking one with good fats and oils. Now this post will remind you about the keyfacts of oils and fats. For those who do not know yet, well, I am lucky to be here.

What if I say vegetable fats and oils? Do you believe that those are good for your health and reduce your weight for your health? Well, in case you do not know, please do not believe! What? Yup, the fact is it will give any positive effect for your body. Now, the best value to choose is actually vegetable oils that are cold pressed. That is the keyword for healthy vegetable oils and fats. These include sunflower oil, olive oil, corn oil and so on. I will review a bit of these.

Although it is good idea if you have friends already doing this, but I will give one examples in a country, sort of Mediterranian countries. If you notice people there, they usually drink fine olive oil just like they drink a glass of wine, but yet the population seems to be far of having obesity than countries where cold press oils are rare.

Many food products are actually not cold pressed instead heat extracted. This will alter chemical structure of vegetable oil. If you look at the composition of a cold pressed oil such as extra virgin olive oil, it contains a lot of element called cis acids but few of trans acids. The heat extracted will alter the balance of these two elements, from few trans acids to much more. Trans acids is a bad guys and is not healthy, but cis acids is healthy one, this is what you suppose to get.

Any food products that contain hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or oils are not healthy produts, they will not even help you reducing weight. These includes those butter substitutes that you might have been using for years, sunflower, the olivios and floras and stork, safflower. Corn and Uncle Tom Cobbley and Better than Butter and all. None of these products is healthy and helping you losing your weight. They will do as much harm to your arteries and cardiac system as saturated animal fat. Unfortunately, these things somehow got back up from medical professions.

If you want to lose weight and go for healthy life, don’t go EVER with these vegetable fats and spreads and heat extracted oils. Don’t believe advertisement that claims they are safe and will help you loosing weight.

However, butter, if you use it wisely, is far healthier and will not cause you any weight problem. Replace all heat extracted and hydrogenated vegetable oils, and change with cold press one. It costs more, but they compensate you with better taste and it may even less use of them. They are heavy with good cis acids, you will experience improvement in your health and that will tremendously assist your effort to lose weight.
